Diversity, equity, and inclusion statement

At the Princeton Diplomatic Invitational, our goal is to engage in meaningful discussions about various global issues and events, both historical and contemporary. To achieve this, we must foster an environment where all delegates feel empowered, respected, and included. Model UN thrives on exchanging ideas, diplomacy, and collaboration– principles that can only flourish in a setting that values inclusion and diversity.

In collaboration with the Princeton International Relations Council and Princeton University, the Princeton Diplomatic Invitational is dedicated to fostering a safe and respectful atmosphere where every voice is valued. As such, we uphold a zero-tolerance policy against all forms of discrimination throughout all aspects of the conference–including but not limited to crisis notes, committee sessions, and interactions between delegates both in committee and throughout the conference. The following actions are unacceptable and explicitly forbidden:

  1. Discrimination based on gender, race, sex, identity, background, socioeconomic status, or any other identifying traits.

  2. Advocacy for war crimes, genocide, or mass violence, including indiscriminate violence against civilian populations.

  3. Harassment, personal attacks, and bullying toward any participant.

Any of the actions mentioned above will result in strict consequences if demonstrated or reported.

Together, we can ensure that the Princeton Diplomatic Invitational remains a space where diplomacy is not only discussed but also practiced through respect, inclusion, and equity.

If you have any questions, concerns, or issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, please feel free to reach out to the conference staff.
