Welcome to the Princeton Diplomatic Invitational!
We are pleased to announce that PDI will be taking place in Spring 2025, on April 3–6, on the campus of Princeton University!
In 2018, the International Relations Council launched the inaugural session of the Princeton Diplomatic Invitational (PDI), the successor to the Princeton Interactive Crisis Simulation (PICSim). After a triumphant return, we are delighted to be hosting PDI 2025!
True to its roots, PDI will continue to offer an innovative, fast-paced, and dynamic crisis experience for college students. Held on the beautiful Princeton University campus, PDI 2025 also plans to offer a diverse set of international affairs workshops and learning opportunities, drawing on the wealth of knowledge our University has to offer. We’re so excited to share this experience with you!
Letter from the Secretaries-General
Saturday, February 1, 2025
Dear Delegates,
We are so excited to welcome you to the Princeton Diplomatic Invitational 2025! After a four-year hiatus, we are thrilled to be back on the circuit and hosting delegates from around the world for a weekend of meaningful debate.
This year’s conference is a testament to our team’s vision for collegiate Model United Nations—one where debate is dynamic and evidence-based, where delegates engage with empathy and expertise, and where resolutions are crafted with an awareness of their real-world implications. PDI is more than just a competition; it is a space for rigorous inquiry, diplomacy, and meaningful connections. It is our privilege to host you on Princeton’s campus, where we hope you will both contribute to and benefit from the spirit of intellectual curiosity and camaraderie that defines our community.
Since our appointment as Secretaries-General last spring, we have built a team from the ground up, navigated countless logistical hurdles, and shaped a conference that reflects our deepest aspirations for Model UN. Every meeting, every email, and every late-night brainstorming session has been driven by a singular goal: to make PDI 2025 a conference that is challenging, rewarding, and unforgettable. We are deeply grateful to our Secretariat, who have worked tirelessly to make this weekend possible—from coordinating with University administration to reserving nearly every room on campus—all to create an experience worthy of the trust you’ve placed in us by attending.
It is our honor to serve as your Secretaries-General of PDI '25, but none of what we have achieved would have been possible without the help of the small army we have assembled. We are so grateful to all of our Secretariat members, student staffers, participating faculty speakers, honored guests, University administrators, and the American Whig-Cliosophic Society for their support and invaluable contributions. Without them, we would be two friends with nothing but a dream and a University credit card.
Throughout the conference, please don't hesitate to reach out to either of us, or any member of our Secretariat and staff, at any time. We are committed to doing all we can to make all of our attendees feel safe, supported, and valued during their time at Princeton. Now, let debate commence!
Sincerely,
Meghana Bhupati and Kriti Garg
