A Letter from the Secretary-General
Dear Faculty Advisor,
It is with great pleasure and excitement that we welcome you to the 2024 Princeton Model United Nations Conference (PMUNC), which, will be held in-person from November 21-24, 2024.
PMUNC is run by the Princeton International Relations Council, a subsidiary organization of the American Whig-Cliosophic society—the oldest collegiate debating union in the United States. Since its inception, our conference has striven to deliver a realistic and comprehensive simulation of the United Nations and related committees. The Secretariat team has been working diligently to ensure that all delegates will be given the opportunity to develop broader perspectives, voice their opinions on contentious issues, and cooperate with others to produce impactful resolutions. We expect that the topics covered in committee will be challenging; as such, our conference staffers undergo a rigorous training process, so that they may provide helpful guidance and assistance when needed. After an eventful weekend full of diplomacy, debate, and delight, delegates leave our conference with the potential to become future leaders of our society.
PMUNC is excitedly continuing its in-person format for the third year in a row. The conference will be hosted in the Sheraton Parsippany Hotel.
After having taken feedback from delegates, advisors, and our staff, we have decided to host our usual committee distribution, hosting Crisis, GA, and Specialized committees.
Our conference will continue to uphold our fundamental values: the unrivaled, immersive educational experience we seek to deliver to each of our delegates. The conference staff is entirely composed of undergraduate students at Princeton University. While they represent a wide variety of academic interests, from economics to electrical engineering, they are united in their passion for Model UN and global affairs. We hold our staff to the highest of professional standards, and this commitment to excellence will continue to define the PMUNC experience moving forward. Ultimately, we will always strive to create an environment conducive to learning, to debating, to cooperating, and, most importantly, to having fun.
On behalf of the entire PMUNC Secretariat, we are thrilled to be inviting you to join us at PMUNC 2024. Please check our website on a regular basis. As we move forward with preparations, it will be updated with important information regarding registration, logistics, and committee details. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Chargé d’Affaires at pmunccharge@gmail.com.
We look forward to welcoming you this November!
